THARU QUEEN

Tharaka Wasalamudaliarachchi (Tharu Queen) is a successful Sri Lankan author, actress and songwriter. She has received Critical & Public Acclaim by winning 2 Sumathi Awards, HSBC TOYP Award & Youth Literature Award. She has written a total of 10 Books and has been nominated for the 2010 Swarna Pusthaka Award. Wasalamudaliarachchi has produced and hosted 3 programs from 2000 to 2007. She portrayed the role of Nikini Malwenna in “Pipi Piyum” and Ishadi in “Udu Viyan”. For several years, Tharaka Wasalamudaliarachchi was the lyricist for many Sinhala songs. However in 2021, she gave vocals for the song “Thani Malak” and later “Me Adare Man” in 2022.
